As per the notification, the Government of India has amended the Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Central Rules, 1998. The registration has to be Mandatorily filed online on the Shram Suvidha Portal of the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

(A similar draft amendment has also been introduced for Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Central Rules, 1971 and Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Central Rules, 1980, which are pending final publication)

  1. Contract Labour (Regulation And Abolition) Act,1970
  2. Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation Of Employment And Conditions Of Service) Act, 1979
  3. The Building And Other Construction Workers (Regulation Of Employment And Conditions Of Service) Act, 1996

As per notification published in the Madhya Pradesh Official Gazette dated 18th July 2018, the Government of Madhya Pradesh has amended The Madhya Pradesh Vritti Kar Adhiniyam, 1995 (Madhya Pradesh Professional Tax Act). Labour Department of Dadra and Nagar Haveli has the revised the Minimum Wages for all the scheduled employments which is effective is from 1st April 2018. For more details, please find the Regulatory Alert and Notification attached.

The Central Government has extended Punjab Labour Welfare Fund (Amendment) Act, 2014 to the Union Territory of Chandigarh with effect from 10th April 2018. Furthermore, as per the enforcement of the Punjab LWF (Amendment) Act, the rates of LWF for Chandigarh will be at five rupees per month for employee and twenty rupees per month to be contributed by the employer for every such employee.
